This is probably more aimed at sci-fi films. The ones set in the not-too distant future. Did they get their predictions wrong?
A classic example of what I'm talking about is 'Back To The Future 2', mainly set in 2015, which isn't that far away now. In that, they predicted the ozone layer would be gone, we'd have an actual weather service, we'd wear our jeans inside out, have flying cars and kids most wanted toys would be hover boards.
But will all of that happen in the next 8 years? I very much doubt it!
So what other films can you think of that should have been set more into the future?

Forget films - what about 'Space 1999'? Did we EVER dress like that? ;D Nah... films then - "Soylent Green" - yep, we're all on a lot of 'veggie' stuff now (Soylent supposedly being a derivative of Soy Beans and Lentils) - but are any of us really eating processed people on the quiet? Hmm - conspiracy theory? ;D N.

BTTF2 did get the idea of the big screen TV right (sort of). And video conferencing (again sort of) And even the concept of paying with your thumb is being developed now. And even the 3D shark is sort of possible, thanks to Imax.
